
Care instructions for silk pillowcases
Hand washing is the safest way to wash your pillowcase as it is a very delicate material.
Hand wash
- Warm water: Wash with warm water, avoiding rubbing or wringing the fabric.
- Gentle detergent: Use silk detergent or a mild, pH-neutral detergent. Avoid using fabric softener.
- Rinse: Rinse gently with lukewarm water.
- Follow the drying and ironing steps below.
Machine wash
- Turn your pillowcase inside out: Before washing it, turn your pillowcase inside out.
- Delicate program: Use a delicate or wool cycle at a maximum temperature of 30°C.
- Washing bag: Place your pillowcase in a laundry bag to avoid friction.
- Laundry: Choose a gentle detergent specially formulated for silk or delicate fabrics, without bleaching agents or dyes. Avoid using powder detergent or fabric softener, as these can damage silk.

Drying
- Flat: Dry your pillowcase flat on a clean towel or hang without clothespins.
- Avoid heat: Do not use a tumble dryer, nor expose silk to direct sunlight or heat sources such as a radiator.
Ironing
- Low temperature: Iron at low temperature on the reverse side, without steam.
- Slightly damp: It is best to iron silk while it is still slightly damp to avoid creases.
